ANDREW
Meaning:
The Greek name Andrew means - strong; manly; courageous. Bible: one of the Twelve Apostles
Today is dedicated to Andrew. He is our 2nd child and oldest son. I will be telling you many stories about Andrew, but today is dedicated to the celebration of his birth. Andrew was our little gift from heaven as he was born in the blizzard of 1997.
My water broke about 1:00AM, so off to the hospital we went. At hospital the veteran nurse examined me and told me, “ I will bet my next paycheck this baby is breech.” Doctors were called and ultrasound performed. Sure enough he was breech! So, off we go for a c-section. The veteran nurse was so kind to video tape the procedure for us and she announce, “The baby has family jewels! IT IS A Boy!” “What will you name him?” she asked. At this point he was not even all the way out yet. Todd responded “His name is Andrew.” Andrew was delivered, quickly checked over, swaddled and handed to Todd to show me our son.
We chose Andrew as a name for our son, before we were even married. Todd was raised in part by his grandparents. Todd’s grandpa Andy was one of the most influential men in his life. We always planned on having an Andrew. His name fits or at least he is growing into it.
Names are very important. Take some time today to look up your name and it’s meaning.
Blessings
