“Risk is the price tag for success.”

Are you willing to take a risk? What if taking a risk meant that you could be very successful? What is it meant that you could lose all earthly possessions? What if it meant that you could be embarrassed by failing?

We had our first home high school wrestling match recently. I attended the match, because Morgan keeps stats for the wrestling team. I do not understand the sport and it really bothers me to see these kids tied up like a pretzel.

Let me tell you the story about Ted. Ted is a high school senior and wonderful football player. He has not wrestled in his high school career. The team recently lost their heavy weight (up to 285 pounds) wrestler. The wrestling coach asked Ted is he would like to try wrestling. According to the football roster he weighs in at 210 pounds.

What a risk! Wrestle for the first time, as a senior, in the heavy weight division. Ted made the decision to take a risk. His first match was in front of the home crowd. I am sure that Ted was wondering why did I take this risk? Ted put up a good fight, the coaches and teammates were giving him all sorts of instruction from the sideline. The crowd was cheering for Ted and then it happened. Ted made his move and he was able to use his strength to pin his opponent, in his very first varsity wrestling match! Ted achieved success! Ted was not afraid to take the risk.

What risks are you willing to take to achieve success?

Blessings
Robin
