First

We have first times for everything in our life. Today, Ross experienced a first, as he shot his first deer. This is a day that Ross and Todd will remember forever.
Ross is ten years old and was able to hunt in South Dakota with the Mentor deer tag. Today was the last day of the season. Ross and Todd had been out several times without success; earlier this week he had a long shot and missed. Today he had the perfect shot and achieved the goal!

Ross is so excited about his first deer. The pride is beaming from Todd as he had this special day with Ross. He was with all three of our children, when they had their first successful hunt and he is happy to pass down his hobby to his children. Did I tell you hunting is Todd’s favorite hobby?

I am so happy that all three of our children were able to give Todd the blessing of sharing their first hunt with him.

Think about all the firsts you have been able to share with your children or special family members.

Blessings of the future

Write each of your children a letter about how much you love them today, date it, seal it, and put it in a safe place that you will remember. Present the letter to them on a significant day, like graduation. We never know if we will be there for the big days or not. Imagine getting a letter like this after someone is gone.

January 29 - Membership

Membership is more than just joining

Have you ever purchased a gym membership that just did not produce the results you were looking for? I joined a gym about a month ago and I have not toned up at all! I paid my fees – I should get results!

I wish it were so easy. We live the real world and it takes real work to get results. My membership to the gym does me no good unless I go to the gym and workout. This is such a bummer for me. The same is true about church. I can be a member of church, but unless I go and get involved, my church will not be anything more than a building. I can not expect the members of the church to reach out to me and encourage me, if they do not even know about me.

If you do not attend church on a regular basis, try going this week. Listen to the message God has for you.

If you do attend church on a regular basis, make it a point to reach out the person that you have never seen in church before. There is a reason they are attending.

Tone up your faith!

January 28 - Be a Mentor

Be a Mentor

“NO, Not me! I can not do that! I am not qualified.”

Have you ever thought these thoughts? Stop right now! Believe in yourself, because others believe in you. You have life experience and that experience can not be taught in a classroom. It can be shared with a friend, who is following in your footsteps. With your experience, you are now qualified to be a Mentor.

As a mentor you do not have to have all the right answers. You do need to have all the right questions to help the person you are mentoring to think and develop from their experience.

Challenge yourself and believe in yourself to be a mentor. You have life experience worth sharing.

One of the greatest honors I have had is to be asked to be a mentor to a younger woman.

January 27 - Mentor

Mentor

The definition of mentor is a: a trusted counselor or guide b:
tutor , coach.

Do you have a mentor? Have you really ever thought about having a mentor? I have been in several relationship which have been mentor relationship. Some of them were formal and others evolved into a mentor relationship. My mentors over they years have been changed, as I have changed and as my needs have changed.

I had a mentor, who was my boss, when I was young in my career. I learned about managing people, getting superior results and using numbers to tell a story in business.

I had a mentor, who was a wife for 20 years, when I was a young wife.

I had a mentor, who was a mother of four, when I was a young mother. I learned the benefits of breast feeding, how to make baby food from people food, and so much more about the love only a mother can have for her child.

I had a mentor, who had gone to school as a non-traditional student and completed her master’s degree, when I returned to school for my MBA.

I had a mentor, who dressed for success, when I wanted to learn reflect my style in my fashion.

I had a mentor, who had adult children that survived the teenage years, when I was experiencing teenage children for the first time.

I had a mentor, who was dedicated to her faith, when I was growing in my faith.

We all need mentors in our lives. A mentor is someone who has been there and done that. My mentors have been able to guide me, counsel me, coach me and inspire me as I learn new things in my life.

Think about the many people who have been your mentors over the years. Let them know how they have blessed your life

Janaury 26 - Be a Blessing

Be a Blessing

Be a blessing to someone today. Take five minutes out of your busy day and handwrite a note to someone, who has touched your life recently. It is so tempting for us to send an e-mail message in this day of technology, but I strongly encourage you to take out the pretty paper or a note card and handwrite the note. Drop it in the mail, it only cost 42 cents to put a smile on someone’s face. We all get so many pieces of junk and bills in the mail. It is so much fun to see something handwritten in the mail box.

I know you will be a blessings for that someone special in your life.

January 25 - Prayer is Powerful

Prayer is Powerful

A few years ago I learned of the Five Finger Prayer. This has been a great tool in my prayer life.

Fold your hands and bow your head.

· Your thumb is nearest to you, so begin your prayer by praying for those closest to you.

· Your pointer finger will remind you to pray for teachers, pastors, doctors and those that mentor and guide others.

· Your tallest finger will remind you to pray for leadership of your community, state, country and business.

· Your ring finger is your weakest finger, so it will remind you to pray for those that are weak, ill, in trouble or in pain.

· Last, is the smallest finger. This will remind you to pray for yourself, because our needs are so small in comparison to the needs of others.

I pray this tool will be has helpful to you as it has been for me.

January 24 Bad to Better

Bad to Better

“Things have to get bad, before they can get better. Remember to appreciate the good times in life.” As a kid, my dad said this to me many times and I did not really understand him, until I was an adult. If we never had challenges in our lives, would we ever appreciate the good times?

Take some time to really think about this statement, “Things have to get bad, before they can get better.”

January 23 - Patience

Patience

In 2001 we made the decision to sell our home and build a new house. We had our house on the market for a short time before 9/11 happened. The housing market fell and our house sat on the market for several months with little activity. I wanted to move on. I was ready to leave the house we called home and move on to the next chapter in our lives, but everything was on hold until our house sold. I was tired of having the house clean and presentable everyday with a 9, 4 and 2 year old working on decorating it their way daily.

I asked a dear friend from my church to pray that my house would sell soon. She told me that she would pray for my patience, because it would sell in God’s time. I began to pray for patience, based on her advice.

One cold January morning in 2002, I was making the final walk through the house before leaving for work and the boys (ages 2 & 4) were both challenging my patience. I stopped, looked up to the heavens and said “God, GIVE ME PATIENCE!” Andrew looked up at me with his big brown eyes and said, “He is not going to give you anything you ask for if you talk to him like THAT.” I dropped to my knees and hugged Andrew, I realized that I was demanding God to answer my prayer, instead of allowing him to work in my life.

Be patient as you wait and allow God to work in your life.

PS – Our house sold within a month.

Janaury 22 -- Just Waiting

Just Waiting…..

There is no word on Wanda’s (the goat) babies yet. We are just waiting. She has moved back to the barn and Todd has built her a wonderful little house to birth in, with heat lamps. I think Wanda is enjoying the wait until her babies are delivered.

Do you ever find that waiting is the hardest part? As humans we just do not want to wait for anything. We want everything in our time and that is NOW! I am very impatient and I do not like waiting for anything. I know that when I look back on the times that I have had to wait for God’s time, I have been BLESSED. Take time today to look for the blessings as you wait.

For I know the plans I have for you,
" declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future. -- Jeremiah 29:11

A Habit

Today is the 21st day of Blessings! This is exciting, because it takes 21 days to form a habit. I have formed a habit of writing “Blessings” each day and you have formed a habit of reading it.

Habits can be good or bad – Why is it that a bad habit is so hard to break and a good habit is so hard to form? I have found the key to forming habits is to have an accountability group to support me. You are my accountability group. I know that I am accountable to you each day to send you a “Blessings” e-mail. If I were only doing it for myself, it would be so easy to skip a day or two and before long it would be a habit not to write “Blessings”.

What habits are you forming?
· Healthy eating habits
· Exercise
· Reading
· Prayer
· Work
· Studying

Think about asking some friends to be your accountability group to help support, encourage and bless you as you create a new habit.

Thank you for blessing, supporting and encouraging me on this journey.

Today is a day that will be remembered in history

Today is the day that Barack Obama will be sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America.

On Election day, November 4, 2008, Todd and I were watching TV as Barack Obama made his victory walk in Chicago. We watched as so many Americans, cried, cheered and celebrated the victory. I said to Todd, “I just wish everyone would stop making this a race issue. This not about the color of a person’s skin, it is about the ability to do the job. I believe that all men and women were created equally.” Todd made a statement that will stick with me for the rest of my life. He said, “Robin, you have never felt what these people feel. They have been put down by others and told that they were less than equal, because of the color of their skin. We are fortunate to live in a state and time where we did not experience racism, but the people we are watching on TV have, and this is a victory for them.”

Remember to count your blessings-- the place you live and the times you are living in.

Janaury 19

Today is Martin Luther King Day. Here is a portion of the famous speech from August 28, 1963. Take some time today to think about how far our country has come in the last 46 years and how much further we have to go.

I have a DREAM
I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.
I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
I have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification; one day right there in Alabama, little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.
I have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.
This is our hope. This is the faith that I go back to the South with. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.
This will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with a new meaning, "My country, 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrim's pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring."
And if America is to be a great nation this must become true. So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania!
Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Rockies of Colorado!
Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California!
But not only that; let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia!
Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee!
Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi. From every mountainside, let freedom ring.
And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, "Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"

Bless yourself

As women, we are always taking care of others, our children, our spouse/significant other, parents, pets, co-workers, boss and the list goes on and on. Today, take some time to bless yourself. Schedule at least one hour of alone time for yourself, some time this week to do what you want to do. The key is to actually DO IT!

Tonight, I had the house all to myself for 2 hours. I gave myself a blessing. I enjoyed a long hot bath with a glass of wine and a good book. I highly recommend taking the time to bless yourself.

Cookies Anyone?

A couple days ago, I asked my family for some help. Everyone in my family is old enough to cook dinner, so it should not always be my responsibility to shop, plan, make and clean up every meal. Everyone agreed to taking a night or two a week. We do realize that this could mean frozen pizza some nights, but that’s ok.

Tonight, I called home to remind the boys that Todd & Morgan were working late and I had a work dinner to attend, so it is just them for dinner. Ross said, “Aw, we ate all the left over’s last night, when it was Morgan’s turn to cook. I know! Andrew and I will make Chocolate Chip Cookie dough! ---- You said we could make what we want on our night to cook.”

I do hope they baked some cookies and did not eat just the dough.

Here is our family’s favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe.

1 cup butter, softened
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ¼ ups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 package semisweet chocolate chips

Heat over to 375 degrees. Mix butter, sugars, egg and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. (The dough will be stiff, unless you melted the butter instead of just softening it. This is a common problem at our house.) Stir in the Chocolate chips. I usually add a few extra chocolate chips, just for good measure. You know Chocolate is a girls best friend. Use your medium Pampered chef scooper to make the perfect sized cookies. Bake until light brown, 8-10 minutes. Cool slightly and eat immediately. The bad news – 90 calories per cookie.

Tip: To avoid eating the whole batch in one day. I make the cookie dough and scoop dough, with my medium Pampered Chef scooper, into a plastic container. I freeze the individual size cookies. Now when you need just a couple cookies as a pick me up, it is easy to bake just the number I need, without over indulging.

Helping others in need!

A couple nights ago on my way home from work, I saw a man with a sign “Will work for food” standing at the off ramp of the interstate. It is January in South Dakota! It was cold and the wind was blowing about 30mph, making the wind chills at least 20 below zero. I knew that I had a gift card to Arby’s in my purse and there was a Arby’s just down the street. Due to traffic and weather conditions, I could not get pulled over to the man. I thought, “Just keep going, it is cold and you are late getting home already.” Then I remembered, I have a home to go to, I have food waiting for me when I get home and my house is warm, my van is even warm. The goat, Wanda, even has a warm garage to sleep in. If we are going to treat a goat that well, I need to treat other people well. So I turned around to go back to the man asking for food. I pulled up to him and he could not hear me, because of all the wind, blowing snow and traffic. I honked my horn and when he saw me pulled over, he dropped his sign and came right over. I handed him the gift card to Arby’s and told him to go get a hot meal. He thanked me as I drove away.

We are so blessed to have the opportunity to help others in need. It feels so much better to help, than to need help.

Stay warm!

Recently, I asked you to take a one minute vacation to your favorite place in the summer. It is a great way to get out of the cold and enjoy the summer. It is a fact of mind over matter.

I learned about one minute vacations from my Aunt Arlene. Arlene was diagnosed with cancer at age 58. She was given 6 – 8 weeks to live at the time of diagnosis. Arlene had a positive attitude and a deep faith in God. She celebrated life for 15 months after the diagnosis. I remember seeing her in the hospital toward the end. She told me she had just taken a vacation to her home. I asked her to explain and she told me about the one minute vacation. She said that lying in a hospital bed all day was too much for her, so she closed her eyes, relaxed and allowed her mind to go home.

While on her vacation at home she enjoyed the following:
· The sunshine on her arms and legs.
· The smell of flowers in her garden.
· The sounds in the small village of New Holland, SD.
· The taste of home cooking.
· The view in her yard.

Arlene know how to make the best of a less than ideal situation. She celebrated life to the very end.

Looking for the blessings in the gift of a goat!

Well, White Wanda has found her way to the Wiebenga home. Sunday right after church we met Grandpa and Grandma Schoon for lunch and to exchange Wanda. Wanda rode in a dog kennel in the back of the van. She is very good with transportation. Todd and the boys made a nice home for her in the barn on Sunday afternoon.

She is very pregnant. We do not know if she will deliver overnight or in two weeks. In case you wanted to know the gestation period for a goat is five months. Andrew enjoys feeling the baby(s) move inside of her. Wanda is friendly and enjoys people and other animals.

When Andrew and his friend, Ben, got home from school, they went to check on Wanda. Wanda was acting funny, so they called Ben’s older sister to look on the internet for signs of goat labor. According to the boys she had 6 of 10 signs of being in labor. Needless to say, they were excited. Unfortunately, it is one of the coldest days of the year. Way too cold for babies to be born in a barn. I think Todd is beginning to like Wanda, or he is looking for the coolest dad of the year award. Todd and Andrew (the Goat Whisperer) took Wanda to the house and made her a home in Baylee’s (German Shorthair) kennel. Yes, we have a goat in our garage that is going into labor! See the attached picture for proof.

This goat has it good! She is living in a finished, heated garage with two boys serving her every need. I think Wanda is getting all the blessings from this experience.

Take a VACATION!

Brrr…. It is cold outside in January. It is usually in January when I start asking myself, why didn’t we move south a long time ago? I do not like snow or cold, but I love South Dakota, so here we will stay.

Here is a suggestion to beat the South Dakota winter. Take a one minute vacation.

It is simple:
· Close you eyes
· Relax your shoulders
· Think about your favorite place in the summer
· Ask your self these questions:
o What do I see?
o What do I smell?
o What do I hear?
o What do I feel?
o What do I taste?

It is all mind or matter. Enjoy yourself at your favorite place for a minute.

Smile
It makes people wonder
what you are up to!

A number of years back I hear a statistic, for every negative person in the work group, it takes eight positive people to bring balance into that work group. Now remember, the 1 to 8 ratio is just for a balance, this does not create a positive work environment. Think about yourself are you the ONE or are you part of the EIGHT?

Most of us would identify ourselves in the EIGHT; however we can quickly identify several people in the ONE category. Why is it that it is so much easier for us to find faults in others? Think about what you can do at work to make a difference and take action. Here is a suggestion, start by just smiling as much as possible. It is hard to be negative with a smile on your face.

I have been receiving feedback from many of you that you like the days I tell stories to make a point. Thank you for challenging me to step outside my comfort zone. Telling personal stories is risky or at least it feels risky for me. I tend to be a very open person, so some of you may wonder why I feel being open is risky. Well, I am open --- verbally. Most often this is because I engage the tongue before the brain! In writing, I think about it before I send it and the “what if’s” cross my mind.
· What if they do not care?
· What will they think?
· What if they misinterpret what I am trying to say? I can not see their body language. How will I know what they think?
· What if they use it against me?
· What if they tell someone else and only tell the negative side of the story?
· What if they think I am a know it all?
· What if they think, I think, I am a know it all?
· What if they think, I think, I am perfect? (The LORD knows this is not TRUE!)
· What if….
· What if….
· What if….

I guess the lesson I am learning from “Blessings” is “Take a RISK, God will take care me.” I am allowing God to guide my daily message. Please allow God to guide your day.

ANDREW

Meaning:
The Greek name Andrew means - strong; manly; courageous. Bible: one of the Twelve Apostles

Today is dedicated to Andrew. He is our 2nd child and oldest son. I will be telling you many stories about Andrew, but today is dedicated to the celebration of his birth. Andrew was our little gift from heaven as he was born in the blizzard of 1997.

My water broke about 1:00AM, so off to the hospital we went. At hospital the veteran nurse examined me and told me, “ I will bet my next paycheck this baby is breech.” Doctors were called and ultrasound performed. Sure enough he was breech! So, off we go for a c-section. The veteran nurse was so kind to video tape the procedure for us and she announce, “The baby has family jewels! IT IS A Boy!” “What will you name him?” she asked. At this point he was not even all the way out yet. Todd responded “His name is Andrew.” Andrew was delivered, quickly checked over, swaddled and handed to Todd to show me our son.

We chose Andrew as a name for our son, before we were even married. Todd was raised in part by his grandparents. Todd’s grandpa Andy was one of the most influential men in his life. We always planned on having an Andrew. His name fits or at least he is growing into it.

Names are very important. Take some time today to look up your name and it’s meaning.

“Risk is the price tag for success.”

Are you willing to take a risk? What if taking a risk meant that you could be very successful? What is it meant that you could lose all earthly possessions? What if it meant that you could be embarrassed by failing?

We had our first home high school wrestling match recently. I attended the match, because Morgan keeps stats for the wrestling team. I do not understand the sport and it really bothers me to see these kids tied up like a pretzel.

Let me tell you the story about Ted. Ted is a high school senior and wonderful football player. He has not wrestled in his high school career. The team recently lost their heavy weight (up to 285 pounds) wrestler. The wrestling coach asked Ted is he would like to try wrestling. According to the football roster he weighs in at 210 pounds.

What a risk! Wrestle for the first time, as a senior, in the heavy weight division. Ted made the decision to take a risk. His first match was in front of the home crowd. I am sure that Ted was wondering why did I take this risk? Ted put up a good fight, the coaches and teammates were giving him all sorts of instruction from the sideline. The crowd was cheering for Ted and then it happened. Ted made his move and he was able to use his strength to pin his opponent, in his very first varsity wrestling match! Ted achieved success! Ted was not afraid to take the risk.

What risks are you willing to take to achieve success?

Here are some ideas for blessings others:
· Drive thru Difference (Pay for the car behind you in the drive thru)
· Call a classmate from High School just to catch up.
· Make a casserole for your family for dinner and double it. Take the extra to a friend.
· Bring in donuts for the office.
· Write a hand written note to let someone in your life know they are special. Send it in the mail. We all love getting mail that is hand written. (No bills, no solicitations.)
· Surprise you spouse/significant other with a date night, during the week!
· Send an e-mail to a teacher to let them know that he/she is making a difference in your child’s life. Copy the principal.
· When you have great service at a store or restaurant, find the manager and let him/her know about it.
· Go to work early and put candy on everyone’s desk.
· Leave a small gift (Candy, $5.00 gift certificate, etc) in your mail box for your postal carrier.
· Send a note to your best friend parent to tell them what a great job they did raising your friend. (I recently receive a note like this from one of Morgan’s friends. I will cherish it forever!)
· I do not suggest buying a pregnant goat for the children of friends or relatives.

Only the Wiebenga house!!!

Yesterday, I wrote about God’s blessings in each of our lives, but sometimes we do not notice the blessing God is sending. I am choosing to be open to the blessing that is coming our way. I know that God must have a sense of humor and he can not wait to see what we do with this blessings.

Here is the story. Today was the last day of Christmas break for my kids. When I got home from work the boys were very excited to let me know that Grandpa Schoon bought them a gift, today. He went to the sale barn and purchased a pregnant, white goat with horns and a beard for my boys! Did I tell you she is PREGNANT! According to my boys goats can have up to 3 kids during each pregnancy. She weighs 75 pounds right now and is about a week from giving birth. My boys are making plans to get White Wanda home, before the big event. They think she is a great deal at only $37.00.

Needless to say, there was a little tension at the Wiebenga house tonight. The boys have agreed to take care of the new addition(s) to the family. I will continue to try to educate them on the benefit of keep White Wanda at Grandpa’s house.

I have not spoke to my dad yet. I think I will wait until tomorrow to call him. I am sure he thinks this is all funny and that every boy should have animals to take care of. I think 3 dogs, 2 horse, 2 mules and a hedgehog are enough.

Maybe, this is payback for the time (actually two times) I gave my nieces live bunnies for Easter, without talking to their parents.

I am sure there will be more stories of White Wanda coming. I am looking for the blessingsJ

PS – Does anyone want a pet goat? I hear they are cute and will eat anything and everything.

Today’s message comes from my Pastor, Frank Boerema. This is an exert from Fuel For The Soul in the Dell Rapids Tribune on December 31st, 2008.

“God prepares blessings for us everyday and
He wants us to experience them. The problem
is that we are pretty good at not noticing what
God is doing.

His Spirit is always coaxing us to do or say
something. Just for us to take a few minutes to
listen to another person is more time than we
want to take.

Sometimes it is really hearing what another
person is sharing that can be the beginning
of experiencing God’s blessing for you.”

Do you think that God has a blessings prepared for you? I know he does! I am encouraging you to listen to the Holy Spirit as He talks to you and encourages you to bless others as He blesses you.

“ You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.”

What is the fruit of your labor? Celebrate the success of the accomplishments in your life. Take time to look back at all the successes you have had in the last year. Now look forward and think about the new fruit of 2009, but remember it will not come without labor. The blessings and prosperity will be yours.

We only live once – but if we work it right, once is enough.” -- Joe E. Lewis

What will you do with your year?

God has given us the gift of life. It is up to us to make the most of it. We have four seasons, or twelve months, or fifty-two weeks or 365 days to make the most of the time God has given us in 2009. It is time to think about your dreams and take action. Before we know it, January 1, 2010 will be here.

What are you doing with your year?
Take a risk…
Dream…
Step outside your comfort zone…
Make a difference!

January 2

There are years that ask questions and years that answer.” – Zora Neale Hurston

Take some time today to ask yourself some questions.
· What are my dreams?
· What were my dreams when I was a teenager?
· What dreams have I achieved?
· What am I going to do in 2009 to achieve at least one of my dreams?

Take some quiet time and think about 2009 and your dreams. Write them down and place it in a special place. I like to keep things like this in my bible. God always has a way of reminding me to dream and keep my priorities in line with my faith.

Happy New Year!

2009 will be a great year. It will be a year full of Blessings.

Since I decided to name the book “Blessings” I thought we should start with Webster’s definition of “Blessing”.

bless·ing noun
1 a: the act or words of one that blesses b: approval , encouragement
2: a thing conducive to happiness or welfare
3: grace said at a meal

My prayer is that your New Year will be blessed.
