Welcome to "Blessings"

I want to invite you to be the first to read a new book. This book is so new, it has not even been written yet. The name of the book is “Blessings”.

Here is the situation. Some of you may know that I have a love for motivational speaking. I dream of becoming a motivational speaker, but at this time in my life, my kids need me at home and this is just a dream or goal that will have to wait. I have had this dream for at least 15 years. I know that in order to accomplish this dream I do need to do some prep work. So, I set a goal to write a women’s motivational book about 10 years ago. You know all the big name speakers have their own books. So, I better get to work on the book, since I do have 10 years of thinking about it completed!

I have thought about the book over the years and felt that most women do not have time to read a lot everyday. Most of us are too busy running after kids, workings and taking care of other to take care of ourselves. I decided to write a short daily inspirational book. My book will consist of quotes, short stories, recipes, motivation and tips for women who try to do it all. I have the idea, but when do I find the time to write a book?

Recently, I committed to a couple friends to write them an inspirational message each day from Thanksgiving to Christmas. These short messages only took me a couple minutes each night and I found that the messages were a blessing to me. What I thought I was giving to my friends, actually became a blessing for myself. God open that door for me and allowed me to see that I do have the time to write my book. Now with the New Year just a couple days away, it is a great time to start my daily inspirational book. I am not sure what I will write, but I will let God lead the way.

Disclaimer: I do not claim to be an English/grammar major. I am a business major – Give me numbers anytime! I am truly stepping outside my comfort zone by writing for an audience. You will notice missed words, forgotten suffixes, transposed words, etc. Remember you are getting the first draft of the book. Please read for content and inspiration. Let’s see where God takes us over the next year!
